SHIELD The Kids Drug and Saftey Education
In April 2005, DataNet Solutions began supporting a non-profit 501(c)3 company called SHIELD The Kids (STK).
STK produces Drug and Safety Education curriculums for elementary through middle school age kids. STK uses the latest in 3-D holoprojection animation to teach kids about drugs such as Methamphetamine and safety issues such as Child and Internet Predators.
Education Is Power
STK has a study that was conducted by Boeing that shows using 3-D holoprojection technology, kids learn faster and retain more of what they are taught.
Delivery Method
Today's technology savvy children are resistant or at the very least disinterested in conventional lecture driven delivery systems. STK bridges this communication barrier in an entertaining and a highly efficient modality through the use of 3-D holographic animation. STK animation makes use of characters who will be able to effectively broach important but sometimes awkward topics in ways that a standard lecture could never approach, and in a medium that has been shown by studies to enable students to learn 11% faster and retain 41% more of what they are taught than through traditional lecture methods.
