FAQ

Q1 - What software does DSI have available for Medical Clinics?

A1 - DSI's core medical clinic software is called MedServices. This program tracks patients, services and office visits. We have 9 other modules available. First is a Volunteer/Physician module that will track those who donate their time and services to your clinic. The other module is an Inventory module, which tracks your inventory of drugs, pregnancy test etc. Our other module is a Donor module, which tracks Donors and Donations made. Our forth module is a Prescription module that allows you to issue prescriptions to patients and then print a custom label. Fifth is a Patient Assistance Program module that allows you to add applications and submit them to the drug company. We also have a Bill Tracking module, a Patient Imaging module, a Scheduling Module and a Query Builder/Report Writer

Q2 - Does your software run on a network?

A2 - Yes, It runs on Novell or Windows NT server

Q3 - Is there a limit on how many users can access MedServices?

A3 - MedServices comes with 5 user license. You can purchase additional licenses as they are needed.

Q4 - What reports come with MedServices?

A4 - MedServices comes with over 30 standard reports. Reports differ with each clinic's needs, therefore it is not possible for us to create all the possible reports. Upon request, DSI can create specific reports, or you can purchase a 3rd party report writer and create your own reports. Basically, if we capture the data, you can report on it.

Q5 - Can MedServices be modified if I request changes?

A5 - Yes. DSI can modify any module to fit a specific clinic's needs.

Q6 - What does the annual maintenance fee cover?

A6 - It covers minor upgrades, patches and some reports. If a clinic suggests a change or adds a report and it is something that would benefit all clinics, most likely, it will be considered a minor upgrade and all existing customers will receive the updated copy.

Q7 - Is there another demo available, other than the PowerPoint presentation?

A7 - Yes. You can contact DSI to request a working demo that will allow you to enter up to 20 records.

Q8 - Can I talk to current users of MedServices?

A8 - Yes, references are available upon request.

Q9 - What is the current version of MedServices?

A9 - V4.0.29

Q10 - How did MedServices come about?

A10 - A medical clinic came to us and asked if we could develop a software package for the free medical clinic community. After we created MedServices, we attended an Annual Conference for Free Medical Clinics and demonstrated our software. The response was so positive that we decided to promote and market MedServices to other clinics. As a result of other clinic's suggestions, we developed additional modules.

Q11 - Can I use Microsoft Word to create mail merge letters from MedServices?

A11 - Yes. Word can be used to access MedServices tables to generate mail merge documents.

Q12 - What are the hardware requirements to run MedServices?

A12 - We recommend a Windows 2003 server, XP Home or Pro PC with a Pentium 1000 or higher, 128mg or RAM and 500mg Hard Disk space. The higher the better. Any PC purchased today should be more then sufficient to run MedServices.
