Entry Modules

The Restoration Pad seen entering an Occlusal Amalgam on tooth # 16

The Procedure Pad is seen here treatment planning porcelain veneers on multiple teeth (highlighted)

"On-the-fly" treatment planning (without using entry modules)*
All dental procedures are entered with one of two entry pads.
The Restoration Pad: (figure 1)
For the entry of:
- Direct restorations
- Inlays / onlays
- Sedative (temporary) restorations
- Sealants
All restorations are true to their proper outline form, however, they may be easily edited to any variation thereof.
The Procedure Pad: (figure 2)
For the entry of all remaining dental procedures. Initially, this pad is set up for the general dentist, however, it may easily be customized. This is particularly useful for specialists.
This key pad is fully editable in the following ways:
- Names of Keys
- Key Content ( dental codes contained in each key )
- Number of Keys ( any keys may be omitted )
This allows for the deletion of any codes and categories which are not needed, as well as regrouping them into any type of configuration.
Often used codes from a wide variety of categories (such as X-rays, denture adjustments and re-cements) may be easily combined into the “Misc” key.
Our “Multi-Code” feature enables the clinician to pre-organize groups of codes which are routinely entered, together under one “multi-code”. An example would be the following visit:
- initial patient visit / adult prophy / exam
Multi-codes eliminate the redundant entry of all of the codes separately, as they will all be entered in one stroke of the stylus. This feature is especially useful for specialist and general practitioners alike.
